Harvey Men's Shed Secures First Aid Training Grant

The Harvey Men's Shed is delighted to announce that we have successfully secured funding for six First Aid training courses, valued at more than $1,000, thanks to the support of the Australian Men's Shed Association and the Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing.

This funding will give our members the opportunity to gain valuable first aid skills that could one day save a life, both within the Shed and throughout our local community.

It's a wonderful example of community looking after community. By investing in practical skills, we're helping to create a safer, stronger and more connected Harvey.

We sincerely thank the Australian Men's Shed Association and the Australian Government for recognising the important role Men's Sheds play in supporting the wellbeing of men and strengthening local communities.

The Harvey Men's Shed Committee, accompanied by Mr. Tom Busher from Alcoa, conducted a thorough inspection of the electrical setup, including power connections and outlets, at their new temporary location, the Harvey Rotary Shed. The members express great satisfaction with the support and guidance provided by Alcoa Wagerup throughout the process. They acknowledge the essential financial support from Alcoa, without which this endeavour would not have been possible. With everything in place, the Harvey Men's Shed is poised to begin its operations soon.
